When researching parts, I have noticed that the 1992 Classic has 2 engine options; a 44hp 1000 like mine, and also a 50hp version 1000. Was the 50hp just used in the 4x4?
You see, my mind (Kawasaki bike rider) goes straight to thinking how easy it would be to give my 92 CLX the extra 6 horses...anyone done it, or (more likely) tell me to forget it, as it really isn't worth it?

different camshaft { with stamped "4X4" between the lobes}, slightly bigger compression. that's it. As far as I know 50 hp 1.0 carb was only a panda4x4 engine.

There was also 50 hp 1.1 engine in selecta and almost all 4x4s in 1992 possible to buy, but it was spi engine, and not avialable on all markets.
