My 2001 Multipla JTD ELX seems to hit a wall at 3K revs - accelerates fine to that point but flatly refuses to rev any higher...and it's getting sluggish uphill. It's been Fiat-serviced (so presumably has had all the right bits changed at the right time) and has 83K on the clock. Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip Jim - I think I'll try getting the EGR valve replaced. (y)

check out your fuel filter, it could be dirty or blocked, try bleeding the condensation off the bottom first, there should be a bleed screw at the bottom.

JTD + 3000rpm limit = knackered MAF sensor. Unplug it and see if it goes like new again. If it does. You need a new sensor. Approx £100.

Don't spend any money on anything until you've tried unplugging the wire harness from the MAF.
