General 3 Door/5 Door headlights

Hi all,

Basically I need a new N/S headlight and I've found one that looks promising BUT the seller doesn't know if it came from a 3 door or 5 door car

Is there any way to tell the difference between the two?

Get the part number from the paper label stuck on the top of the headlamp and check it in ePER. There may be several numbers on the label so get all of them.

Can anyone help with ePer please? I've got the part numbers from the healight but I can't make sense of them in ePer. The numbers I have been given are sx40795748L.A.S, 9998-0690 and S 40930744.

None of those numbers are listed in ePER. All original Stilo headlamp part numbers begin with 467 or 517.

Searching in ePer for 40930744, it automagically takes me to 51716353 which appears to be a RH (DS) headlamp for a 3-door Stilo. Some googling also tells me that it is for RH traffic (thus non-UK).

I searched for 40930744 using ePER v6.0 and it gave no result.

Typical indeed. Now checked with my own 6.2 and no hits. The online ePer of this Fiatforum gives me the 51716353 though (going to "search" and giving 40930744 as a product code, it automatically replaces it with 51716353).

Although I can't seem to find any reference between the two other than the ePer magic.

Edit:
googling on sx40795748 or just 40795748 gives some old eBay hits for a LH side multiwagon (5door) headlight with productcode 51712716.
