Wont that throw the rolling radius right out? Thought 15's commonly should be on 195/45/15, so having a wider tyre with a bigger wall percentage will put it right out.
Bravo HGt and Marea 15" wheels tend to be 195/50/15 so therefore a 205/55/15 will not be a long way out, but will have a larger rolling radius. However will put the speedo out a tad. Am guessing your wheels/tyres are off a coupe.
Actually think coupe wheels are a 50 profile, hmmmm. Anyway, my Bravo HGT was running 215/45/17 and this was clearing, just. My Father in laws Brava 1.6 has 195/50/15 and these have loads of room.
Yes, 205/55/15 will clear. however ideally a 195/50/15 would probably be better suited to the car.
Only steering issues you might have will be tram lining, and as mentioned less grip in the wet.
Jug will be on in the morning. I know for a fact that he is running 15" alloys. He should be able to give you some advice.
Having just found one of his replies on another thread, jug is running 195/50/15 and has his suspension is lowered by 45mm. He would definately be able to give some advice
the standard tyres on the bravo alloys are 185/55/15. fitting wider ones will not be a problem. on a 6" wide wheel you can fit 175, 185, 195 or 205 width tyres
That's what my Hgt was originally running. I always thought because I had seen a few on ebay running 195/50/15 that they ran these. Am guessing 195/50's are cheaper. Although a fair few cars now run 185/55/15's.
