Hill Hold function works when i press hard on the brake and the engine is running...when the auto stop/start activates the hill hold wont hold and i roll back slightly before the auto gearbox kicks in .....

I cant find anything in the so called manual ......sorry ''quick guide'' ( which is mainly about the electric version !! ) and there are no switches / lights to show its active / not active etc

Hi. I think you can find the hill hold function through the "vehicle information" section on the steering wheel control pad menu's. Had problem with mine where it wouldn't let me roll off my driveway...found the menu whilst sorting that. At least...I think I did. 🤔

The full manual says the following on Stop/Start

NOTE On versions with automatic transmission in the event of stops uphill, the engine switching off is disabled to activate the "Hill Holder" function (works only with running engine).

The description of Hill Holder function confirms that it is only supposed to work with the engine running.

I'd surmise that, if your Stop/Start has cut in, then the required 5% incline for Hill Holder function hasn't been achieved. (You'd expect from the above the two to be coordinated).

Can't say I've noticed S/S not functioning on a gradient, but I'll have to give it a try. Certainly on shallow hills I do note some roll back unless I'm careful to come off the brakes gently to restart, and let the engine take over before full release.

Thanks for the info - pity it defaults to auto stop / start
