Technical 2019, 500 Central Locking, Locking

Hi Guys, Thanks for add, I have a central locking problem with my wifes 2019 500.
The problem is that the car locks itself randomly, sometimes immediately after unlocking, sometimes a few minutes later and other times when travelling. I had to take her the spare the other day as it had locked her out with the keys in the ignition. It is very random and sometimes is fine for a couple of days. Autolock is turned off. Fortunately it locks and doesn't unlock. Any advise or possible causes gratefully received.

Hi its a bit puzzling given the newness of the car, try, only use the manual key for a while to rule out the remote fob, next guess and it is a guess is the door lock mechanism and its micro switches

Thanks John, will use manual key as suggested to see but pretty sure it has locked itself when fob would have been out of range. It is so difficult to isolate area of fault when so unpredictable.

That would suggest there's some sort of lock signal being created, I'm assuming it's always lock?

Yes fortunately locks rather than unlocking, that would be concerning.
