I have a 2017 Ducato Motorhome and the DAB does not work, I understand that this is likely to be a software update issue, I checked the current status which is 12.00.24.01 and have downloaded the available updates, copied them individually on to 4 GB USB sticks. However, when I place them in the USB socket below the dash all I get is "reading USB" then "No Media Files detected", I assume I am doing something wrong, could anyone help please?

It isn't clear from your post whether you're configuring the USB stick correctly or not (you may well be, but the system patently isn't recognising it as containing a firmware update, so has reverted to looking for media).

AIUI, the updates are supplied as .zip files, and as such need to be extracted, not simply copied, to the USB stick. Have you done this?

(It would also be worth checking how the USB stick has been formatted. I think FAT32 is required, and I suspect it will be)

I used brand new 2 GB USB sticks and formatted them FAT 32 and loaded them with the individual Zip files from this forum and as you say they didn't work, I then attempted to extract the files but there appears to be hundreds of options for each update or do I not need them all? Any advice on how and which to extract would be most gratefully received.

Sorry, can't help with the version(s) as I've not got a Fiat Radio..

In general, it would only be the latest compatible version you'd require (download the single zip and extract it to the USB stick, don't copy. It may well result in multiple files on the USB), but there are questions of which is compatible, and sometimes you need to install an intermediate version before you can update to the later versions.

There may be someone else on the forum who's been through the procedure?

If the issue is that DAB is not received, are you sure that the DAB aerial and its connection is OK?

Hi Hugh,

Many thanks for your help with this issue, I have now finally uploaded 4 firmware updates to my vehicle, although the last one, 13.00.80.01, took 4 attempts at downloading, extracting and uploading before it worked, the first 3 all failed! The DAB still does not play but the individual programs come up on the screen but no audio as before the updates, plus, prior to going down the firmware update route, I removed the head unit and dismantled the left hand mirror to expose the DAB aerial and amplifier and all looked in order but I wasn't sure which of the leads plugged into the back of the radio was for the DAB aerial and similarly how to test that a supply is present at the mirror when the Radio is turned on, any help you can offer with the above again would be appreciated.

Hello Captain,

use the Engineering Mode to Study the DAB Antenna Input level, or Diagnostic Errors

Engineering Mode: Press Radio+Media+Browse for 5 Seconds
