Noise from gearsystem when shifting to lower gear. Red message alert in display: «Transmission unavailable»
Next day it was able to gear with no alert.
Even though the camper was transported to garage. They found lot of dirt in gear-shift system. Was drained and flushed 3 times.
Back on the road - after 400 km alert was back. When starting and tried gearing, red alert «gear unavailable» appeared.
Contacted workshop again, their conclusion was to change the Comfortmatic gear-shift system unit.
Now awaiting parts to arrive..

Camper is a newly bought 2017 Solifer, first time registered in 2019 with guarantee from dealer.
Has only 16000 km on counter.

Any similar experiences?

Sorry, I haven't seen one of the lines when you wrote it's a Comfortmatic gearbox, or it has been added. Nvm.

It's a complicated system, workshops tend to replace it (as they are earning a lot of money on it), but most of the time it requires precise and regular servicing. It is operated by 3 fluids, one of them being DOT4 braking fluid, which is highly higroscopic and should be replaced every 2, max 4 years, otherwise it loses its properties.

Then, the servicing consists of 3 or 4 actions using MultiEcuScan that have to be done in a precise order.

There are numerous threads in here (and other forums) on the Comfortmatic / Dualogic / Selespeed / F1 system (it is sold by the FIAT group under those makes). Especially the one that has 'the one and only repair guide' in the title seem to be interesting.
