Hi,

I'm just replacing my LHD headlights for RHD. There seem to be two types listed on eurocarparts - 8 or 14 pin.

The version I have has a round connector with space for 14 pins, but only 8 used.

Would I be right in calling this a 14 pin type?

Does the later version (2011 - ) have a connector with just 8 pins available?

Hi there, I have a 2014 registered ducato 180 but not the new facelift model. However I do know that the connector to the headlight is different to the 2008 model as I also had one. I think you will find that yours is the 8pin. later models had the option of day running lights.

around mid 2011 (red seat inserts) there was a wiring change made to the headlights wiring harness there is a jump cable available from fiat to fit the new to the old dont know the part number though cheers Adam

Thanks for that info Adam. I was quoted for a new harness by a UK main dealer, I was suprised there was no easy option.

This is my 2008 and I agree the later one is most likely to be more pins.
We have indicator/side light/ headlight/ high beam and levelling, I'm sure that can be accomplished with no more than 8 pins.
I don't know about eurocarparts but ebay can be under £130 the pair

Yea, that's what I have.

Problem with Ebay is that they never differentiate between the earlier and later ones. Some sellers say an adapter may be required, but don't offer one.

I'm waiting to hear back from 3 suppliers since yesterday.

The headlights for the Euro 4 (2006) and Euro 5 (2011) may look the same but the wiring fitments are completely different. A message to Rolopolo: the white creed bulbs will not fit the Euro 5 even if you take off the deflector. The main beam bulb will not even slide through the opening. Strange really seeing as they will fit into the Euro 4 headlight !!!
