Apologies if this has been answered before, but not having much luck with the search engine. Doesn't seem possible to "AND" searches.

Anyway... does anyone know if there is a part (preferably genuine Fiat) for a half-way door stop for the side sliding door. Would like to be able to latch it half way when parked on a slope.

Many thanks,

good point! is there anyway of making one?

I know people have been experimenting with large magnets etc, which although work well and is a quick "fix", it requires the user to remember to remove them before attempting to close the door. I'm pretty sure there was this option on the Ducato model just gone, but am surprised it's not made it to the newer van.

It was available on the 244 shaped Ducato. If you look at your runners it seems there is a space to put one but its very close to original!

I have a 244 based motor home, but have not been able to identify this part - can you supply the part no? (its a european conversion so the side door is on the RHS not LHS)

I made a very simple stop for my campervan sliding door, but you have to manually lock it on and off. It is nothing more than a length of 6mm thick pvc, which hinges on a new screw fitted into a hole which already existed to hold a angle trim to the floor plywood. I carefully shaped the pvc with a notch which locks onto part of the lower cable-operated catch. It's a really simple thing to make and it securely holds the door, part-way open so my disabled wife can hold onto the door as she attempts to get in or out of the van. I could describe it in more detail if required.

On the subject of Ducato 2.3JTD 2004 sliding doors, PLEASE could someone describe how you successfully adjust the fit and the close against the seals. Ours will not close properly at the top (rear) and the local Somerset Fiat agent has so far failed to make any useful changes, despite it being booked in THREE TIMES! Is there a link to a FIAT information sheet on this subject please?

Sounds interesting JWS, more description of the stop would be good, but to quote a cliche, a picture paints a thousand words - any chance of a photo of it?

With regards to door adjustment I've looked at it its messy,

Regards

This 'normally' happens due to inproper closure of the side door(s), there is very little adjustment at the pillar locating pin & only succesful way I have came across is to loosen top support bar & use brute force;)
