Hello, I bought a used motorhome (Eura Mobil Terrestra) from 2007/2008 with 150,000 km on it. The seller told me that the clutch had been completely redone. Actually twice, because the first time the workshop forgot to remove a centering tool afterward. This caused everything to break again. Apparently the throw-out bearing with the central slave cylinder was also affected. I’ve had problems with the clutch from the very beginning. The problem is that there’s no consistent pressure. It’s okay for about the first half of the pedal travel, then the pressure suddenly drops off. This is also the case when trying to pull away — nothing happens at first, and then suddenly you lurch forward. I’ve now been to the workshop. They told me that the engine and transmission were under a lot of tension/strain. They repositioned the engine further back so that the engine mounts aren’t under as much tension. The clutch was bled. It’s better now, but still not really good. Next, I’d like to replace the master cylinder. Does anyone recognize this issue? Is there a guide for removing the master cylinder?

Thank you very much. Martin

Cannot advise on changing your clutch master cylinder as I have not needed to do one on that model.
I cannot understand how they managed to leave the centreing tool behind, it sounds illogical.
Also repositioning the engine mounts to correct a clutch problem sounds like BS to me.
Obviously it all depends on what engine you have and if the clutch slave cylinder is external or the concentric clutch slave cylinder as some use.
I have changed the clutch on a 2.8 Citroen Relay 55 reg model which is basically a Ducato rebadged but an earlier model than yours and you may have the 2.3 engine?
They used an external slave cylinder, but there was issues removing the release bearing support shaft which meant a special extractor was required, if that 2.8 design then if clutch release bearing support shaft was sticking that could cause your problem, but would involve gearbox removal again.:(
