Hi, we have a N&B motorhome on a Fiat Ducato 2.8, recently discovered that the leisure batteries have not been charging from the split charge. Seems our positive battery terminal has one blown mega fuse and the whole plate looks like it needs replacing.
My problem is that I can't find a 2005 anywhere, only 2007!

The battery fuse box is the same apart from the two metal clips on side that are not on the later ones.
You can move the position of the terminal bolts for the maxi fuse.
Photo of 2005 with metal clips & 2010 without clips.

So in theory a 2007 one would work?

New x244 version with clips available on Ebay here.

On the x244 the battery fusebox should have a protective cover that clips on.
Are you sure that you have blown the mega fuse (orange 150A)?
Mega fuse (F70) supplies the engine bay fusebox, and via that the LH cab fusebox. If F70 is blown, engine will not start/run.
If the pink 125A midi fuse has blown, that is for the alternator. You would come to a halt when starter battery became discharged.
The other possibility is the brown (70A) midi convertors fuse, which many converters seem to ignore, and install separate fuses.

So it's the fuse that controls the split charger...my leisure batteries are not being charged as I drive.
The vehicle runs and the alternator is good. When the auto electrician bridged the gap a charge showed inside on the leisure batteries with the engine running.
Sorry if I'm not making much sense...lady owner!!

It's the one next to the pink one I think 🤔

You are suggesting the middle of the three smaller midi fuses. Standard fitting is brown (70A). After the connector dropped off my converter installed separate fuse, I moved the connection to the rear of the middle fuse and changed the fuse for a red (50A) version.

Midi fuses are available on Ebay for under £3 deliverd, much cheaper than a replacement fusebox. To install an 8mm 1/4" drive socket spanner, and ratchet wrench are my preferred tools. If anyone changes these fuses they must disconnrct the battery negative first.

I would not advise a fuse rating of more than 50A, as the alternator on the 2.8jtd is only rated at 90A, and it has to supply the base vehicle as well.
