Hi everyone,

I know there has been several posts about the fiat punto subwoofer not working but none have given me a solution. I am new to the forum so please help if possible!

I have had a 2005 Fiat Punto Xbox for nearly 2 weeks which has had a few minor niggles, but the one thing I cannot repair is the standard subwoofer in the boot.

The car is completely standard, no modifications, it has the Blaupunkt MP3 CD Player that the car originally came with and all 6 speakers are working.

I have already replaced the fuse IN the subwoofer, it was blown, checked all connections behind the CD player but still nothing.

Can anyone help? If so I am new to this model so would need some guidance. Many thanks!

If you have power at the sub and all other speakers are working then it is fairly safe to say there is an internal problem with the sub its self, which most is probably the reason for the blown fuse.

Fortunately these are pretty cheap to get hold of from eBay,
If you don't have power then you need to find out if you have power from the radio to the subwooffer

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the reply.

I really am a novice with these things, what is the best (and safest) way to find out whether power is getting to the sub?

Getting the sub to Spain would be the problem as I guess postage would be high; if I could find out for sure it is the sub or if it is a power issue that would be great.

thanks again
