General 2004 Ducato Van 2.8 jtd oil filter

I am having trouble finding a filter for my van.

I am too windy to remove it until I find the correct replacement.

The filter that is on it presently is 110mm (4.5") x 145mm (5.75") approx.
The thread is the question. Either 20mm, 22mm, or .75". ??

None of the filters recomended for the van have these measurements.

I have the Fiat No. that is on there at the moment 1753740.

The chassis and engine nos are- eng no 3925190 /ch. ZFA24400007393035

My 2006 x244 2.8JTD takes an M22 threaded oil filter e.g. Fram PH 9637. Checking on a spare from my store cupboard, I can only find the thread marked (stamped) on the mating end of the filter close to the thread (not visible when fitted).


However I am aware that 3/4" UNF filters were also fitted to the 2.8JTD.

It should be possible to download a filter cross reference chart. However I chose to feed the quoted Fiat part number 1753740 into Ebay search function.

This returned several offers for a COMLINE EOF056 which from the accompanying diagrams is a 3/4" UNF filter, measuring approx 110 x 145.

(I bought 3 off on a similar offer a couple of years back, and I was very satisfied with my purchase, but I did stick the boxes together before putting into my cupboard.)

This Mann one WP1144 looks like it will be a replacement. The cross reference shows Fiat part 71753740 [your number with a leading 7]
