General 2003 Punto 1.2 8v jumpy

Wonder if you great people can help, my wife has a little Punto which to be honest is a lovely little drive, the thing is every now and then if driving round the doors and you let foot off the throttle a little it sometimes jumps a little if that is right word but as soon as you touch throttle it goes off. Like I say just round the doors as we did 110 motorway miles yesterday and not a flicker oh and got 52 mpg.
