Hi all,

My hand brake light is staying on all the time. It is a 2001 Ducato on Euramobil motorhome.
I have replaced the front pads (as worn) light still on).
Disconnected handbrake switch no joy
Brake fluid full disconnected sensor no joy
What could it be? any ideas perhaps a common short.

Also ABS light glows slightly has done so for a long time

Cheers

This may not apply to your model, but I had the same problem recently on my 1987 model. The contacts inside the MCyl reservoir rely on a little washer to make contact. Make sure that it is above the contacts. You can pop off the rubber 'button' cover - mine had somehow (access is tight to mine) got below the contacts and the fluid level float was pushing it upwards thus making constant contact.
If yours if different to mine- does the light go out if you disconnect one wire to reservoir cap? If so this will indicate a fault here.
good luck!

Hi
I have exatly the same problem on my 1996 Hymer . Checked the handbrake OK brake res OK both front sensors disconnected .To add to the confusion my warning light goes off and on intermittantly.I am thinking that it could be the warning light relay if there is one or a trapped wire going to earth.I cannot locate any relays apart from the ones that control the wiper moters in the engine compartment.Does anyone know where the relays are located.

The 244's are sensitive to brake fluid level, as I have had the same problem as you in the past and I thought my reservoir was full!:)
