2 year ncb, crazy quotes :(

hey fellas!

my girlfriend is pulling her hair out atm, she is getting quotes of 900-1500 with 2 years ncb and shes 22 coming 23. whats crazy is if she changes where the car is kept overnight to her moms address (a 10 mins drive away max), it's less than £400!

this is getting crazy!

anyone have any ideas on what could be done to lower it?

Insurance costs have gone up around 20% in the last year or so, so its going to be hard to find cheap insurance generally!

Has she tried adding her mum on as a named driver to help lower the cost? Sadly with postcodes it comes down to luck.

Has she tried phoning the companies that are posted at the top of the insurance forum? (Chris Knott and someone else...can't remember!).

Try elephant/admiral they are usually good for young drivers. I'm 22 and my insurance on my GP was just over £300 this year with Admiral

24yrs old 2yrs NCB and have my 24yr old girlfriend on the policy with a provisional license! and only pay £640 for the 10month bonus accelerator policy .

Oh and that's on the Punto not the Coupé!!

try chris knott on here on the phone to them now saved me 10% on my best quote mention fiat forum.
20 Y.O from london 2 years driving 2 years no claims on a 1.2 8V active punto for £830

Consider your self lucky, i'm not going to be driving next year coz insurance has gone from £1400 to a whopping £4800 cheepest Of course im in london so it will be higher but this increase just came out of no where. 2 yrs no claims, 1.1L Stupid stuff

Ouch thought i was bad at first i'm 23 first year of driving and i'm 628 fully comp but i do stay in an area where the average age is 85.
