Ducato 2.3 multi jet parking sensor

Hi All,

I am new to this site so give me a little grace I own a 2015 Fiat Ducato 2.3 multi jet based Swift motor home. I have bought a set of rear parking sensors for it I don't want to have to run new cables from front to back unless I have to; Can I pick up a live from the reversing light feed at the rear cluster or am I liable to over load the circuit. The new system draws 3.4 watts total.

Hi, you won't overload the cable with an extra 3.4 watts as this is only an extra .3 amp or so but it might possibly affect the canbus bulb failure system.

I don't know if this covers the reversing light or not; you could try taking the bulb out to see if any warnings come up.

Wouldn't you be running a cable to the front for the dashboard display?

Yes thanks for that reply and it has a bulb failure sensor so dash to rear but it was worth a try.
