Many of you must carry out this procedure yourselves and could maybe help me. I have searched other threads relating to this but still have a few questions:

a) Should the electrical connection and hoses on top be unhooked before removal of lid? (The French RTA manual says they should!). Perhaps its just to give easier access to get a filter removal tool around the large knurled screw off ring?

b) Are the little spring type things on the hose connections just sqeezed and the hoses pulled off?

c) Does the screw off ring just click and move anticlockwise a short distance and lift off or are there threads on the housing from which it needs to be turned a number of times?

d) There are two green alignment marks on the housing. What do they mean? The RTA manual says not to pass them when replacing the ring. Pass them with what. I cant see any mark on the ring or lid to align with them but there seems to be one shown on the ring in the Rta manual.
The only thing I can see is a little piece (about the same width as the paint marks) hanging down from the bottom of the ring. On my locked ring this is not aligned with the marks but is about one quarter turn away to the left.

Any help on the above or any cautions in regard to the procedure would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Brian.
