I've got a spare new panel that goes underneath the windscreen if anyone needs one? It came with the car when I bought it, apparently it has a small mark on it but I haven't looked yet - if anyone needs one then let me know and I'll investigate it a bit further!

I wouldnt mind having that mate if you dont mind. Mines disgusting and needs painting or a new panel on top... Many thanks.

You'll need to cut the old one out and weld this in, not as simple as a cover up job. If yours just needs a repaint then a replacement isn't going to be much help unless your current one is rotten

They speak the truth, it does need to be cut out.

If anyone is interested, I've dug it out and there doesn't seem anything wrong with it bar a small scrape in the black paint and a tiny bend on one edge which will just pull out (have pics if you want them). The guy did say he only complained because he thought he might get a few quid back and they just sent a new one, hence why I have two.

It's the same part as this (part number is correct in the heading but wrong in the description) - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-new...dscreen-panel-1985-2003-7548907-/271236472232

It's only bl**dy Friday! Which means we are heading to the off-road weekend later! After I've repaired my prop shaft of course

It's a tradition to leave important work until the last moments before departure. And also to leave something to be done either at the destination or en-route in a layby/on the hard shoulder.
Not leaving some work to do means relying on a breakdown to create interest during the journey and usually that's okay but sometimes these cars can be boringly reliable.(y):bang:

I learnt this technique from your good self Andy, if something is left to do on the car before the event and/or during the event, then it is less likely to hinder your arrival to said event

Anyway I'm just bossing some shaft work right now..

Sound I'll sort you out

Anything else for anyone? I'm digging through stuff now fishing bits out for people so any requests make them heard!

Boot seal if still possible please :) (y)

One thing please.

A 4x4 with MOT, 4 wheels and fuel tank attached and concours.

If all else fails piccies of your weekend out would help satisfy my poor repair performance of my 4x4 being in bits on my drive for 3 years.

PS Send me details of where you are meeting please as I am in Derbyshire anyway and would love to see them all.

Dave

Hope you all have a great time this weekend

I've lost count of the drink number and we're playing with FIRE

Well, at least that means you're not the one they decided to sacrifice to some pagan god whilst dancing wildly round that fire in the small hours;)
