Hi folks, :)

Im supposed to be going to scotland later today or early tomorrow, So i brought the car out the garage to check the oil, water levels etc etc.

The only thing that needed topping up was the water bottle for the window screen wash, this i duely did with a mix of anti-freeze,screen wash and obviously water! :) I moved the car to another postion to aid cleaning the interior and when i came to move it back it failed to start.

I noticed the fuel was low, although the light was not on - so i got some unleaded from a can which i keep in the garage and put it in the tank. still nothing.

I say nothing - but all the lights are on, the car attempts to turn over but just wont catch.

I have noticed that when i turn the key there is no sound from the petrol pump which one normally hears!

Is this a sign the pump has gone?
Is there anything in the vacinity of the wash bottle where i might have spilt some water on it when topping up the bottle that might cause some eletrical fault causing it not to start?

have rang Fiat to check out the cost of a new pump but they were busy and are going to call me back.

If I do need a new one - where are they and how difficult are they to fit?

Thanking you in advance ..

kind regards
Rio
