It SHOULD bleed the air from the system itself....petrol cars normally do. But it may just be worth checking the fuel lines to make sure the fuel is getting to the engine.
**EDIT** Make sure you de pressurise the fuel system before taking off any pipes.
cant think of a reason it should have tripped.. but might be worth a look at the fuel cut off switch,,its located at the side of passenger seat between the door and seat,, just push it down firmly,,just an idea!!!
