General 1997 Ducato 2.5D

Hello All

I've just joined the forum, and searched this section. My Ducato has 180k on the clock, and I don't know if the clutch has ever been replaced. The clutch does not slip, but the pedal is too high. I have tried adjusting the cable under the bonnet, but this adjustment also pulls in the clutch. Is it just a case of a stretched clutch cable, or something more? I shall be grateful for any help and guidance.

Erm.....do I hear 'try changing the clutch' or similar?

If I have to change the clutch, can someone give me some tips on how to go about it, please. Usual case of no service manual in any language...and first timer not knowing what to expect to find, apart from a worn clutch plate.
