Technical 1995 petrol transmission.

Hi, I have a 1995 petrol ducato, when it gets hot and bothered, usually low speed, it's difficult to select gears, especially reverse (crunch) I've changed the oil and put a bit extra in. Does this 5 speed gearbox have a separate trans axle? And if so, how do I check/ change the oil? Thanks.

Assuming your van has a dash mounted cable change gearbox (as my petrol engined Talbot had a floor mounted lever which had an interesting linkage!) it is always worth greasing the *gear pivot* on top of the box (13mm nut under black plastic shroud......pictures elsewhere on the forum if you can't spot it)
