Hi guys, I have a thread for this one on Fiat Forum, http://www.fiatforum.com/panda-classic/353824-engelbert-h-reg-dark-green-sisley-progress-log.html
Thought you guys might like to see it and hear some details. To cut a long story very short I had been looking for a Fiat Panda Sisley 4x4 for about a year (since getting my first panda parade which some of you are familiar with) and was offered one by a very kind lady who came onto the fiat forum and offered her 1990 Sisley which had sat in her driveway since 2009 for free to anyone who would have it (and a donation to a local dogs charity), I of course jumped at the chance and took on the project in July. I have been working on it almost every weekend since then, and nearly at the MOT stage, apart from a lot of welding required on the drivers side floorpan/inner sill area. Lots of smaller things to do such as brakes etc, but the car runs, and will run on its fuel tank (not the auxillary I had set up) once I get the fuel tank back on, got it off for derusting and painting at the moment.
a small selection of Jobs/parts I have done so far:
New bonnet
Derusted and painted fuel tank
Got engine running (hasnt run in 5 years)
New starter motor
New battery
New indicator lens
Full service
Lots of wiring repairs to get all electrics working
Sewed leather seats (had to learn to sew for this one)
removing coachlines
full valet
new (correct) hornpush
removed rusty roofrack (having new one made)
changed heater box
things still to do:
lots of welding (anyone know good reasonable priced place in ayrshire?
new tyres
wheels being powdercoated in the correct cream
finish painting bonnet
refit fuel tank
complete brakes
Fit new radiator
and thats really about it I think off the top of my head.
Theres a lot more detail to it than that, but I will post a selection of photos and videos for your perusal guys
