Technical 1989 ducato rust problem

Hello there! this is my first post on this forum.
I'm writing from Italy, and i'd like to ask for enlightnement about an autocaravan on a 1989 Fiat Ducato 1.9 td chassis.
THe overall state is OK but i'm concerned about a rust problem behind the front right bumper.
I attach some pics about this problem.
I'd like to know please of it's a structural damage or only a small issue that could be fixed removing rust and maybe refix it with fiberglass materials.

Hi Lor,

Fibreglass is not for this type of repair. Are you near a breakers yard?

I'd cut out the piece you want from a scrap ducato, and weld this into place.

You could fabricate the part you need, but its harder option if you don't have the

proper tools to do this type of repair. And remember its likely the metal will be of

heavier substance, not like door skin material.

The first option would be the way to tackle this problem.
