Hi all,
Looking for some help for the following if anyone is able??
We have a 1988 (F reg) Fiat Ducatto motorhome with the 2.5D 8144.67 engine.
The timing belt has been changed, all drive cogs etc were locked out with pins etc during the process and the belt was a struggle but got it on and marks match up with marks placed on old prior to removal etc.
So the problem is now when starting she take a fair few turns, over-revs initially, presumably burning off any surplus diesel and then drops down to idle however she still produces a lot of grey/white smoke.
does anyone have timing routine so we can ensure that the injection pump is in correct time? or any further insight to what may be wrong? could we be a tooth out on injection pump?
does anyone have any information on the injection pump, all I can find is the info for J5s etc.
