Does anyone know anything about these early 501 fiats? I found one recently and am now trying to decide what to do with it. I got a lot of extra stuff and I'm pretty sure I can get it running. The motor turns over freely. I am rebuilding the magneto now. I sure would like to run it and have fun with it. I guess it depends on availability of parts. I posted a picture in the picture section. The doors are off in the picture but I have them. I need an entire interior and the wooden top bows and a service manual.

Steve - I know that it is years since you posted and hopefully you have now had lots of info and help with your car, and surely by now you know it is a 503. the 503 was a facelift on the 501 to make it look more modern and stretch out the model run before the completely redesigned stuff came on stream 18 months later. Almost all of the running gear is identical to late type 501. If you still need help get in touch - there is lots of stuff about for these if you know where to look!

You may have seen pictures of my 501S in Motorsport / Octane / Automobile / VSCC Bulletin I am pretty sure it is the most widely and regularly competed in vintage Fiat in the world - every year it is used in trials, navigation rallies, hill climbs, sprints and races.

Hi, Steve

I have seen the photos of the Fiat that you have found. compliments you have found a very beautiful car.

I don't think that is it am a Fiat 501.

I am an impassioned of old Fiat. I'm live Italy in town Torino the city where this Fiat is built .

did I want to ask you the engine how many cylinders it has?

besides I wanted ask if you was eventually interested in to sell the car or to make an exchange with some other old car of epoch 1920- 1930

regards

Andrew :),
