sorry cos i know its been asked a lot, but i have the oppertunity to buy some wolfrace mantis, and they look the dogs bollx in my eyes, so all i want to know is how much work am i looking at,

ive had 17's on a renault 5 and that wasnt much work, all im worried about on a bravo is how wide i can go with out the tyre rubbin badly on the arches, would i need to totally cut them or would 18's slip under nicley, im also lowering it 40, i dont care about full lock, as full lock rubs on almost any aftermarket wheels on any car, so im i looking at £100's or £1000's, surley i can rip all of the arch protector stuff, that black flimsy plastic stuff? or is there more to it than that,

cheers peeps

As long as the car aint lowered then none as such, But don't go over those speed bumps quick and avoid pot holes when carrying full passengers. You may also loose full lock so don't hold it as far as it will go as your tyre will end up worn and so will what ever it touches

Re: Re: Re: 18's how much work needed

the ride quality will be TERRIBLE

Are you really willing to make your car a pig to drive, just to make it look "bling"?

No he's got 17's - Big Al is the only person I know of who has 18's on his Bravo.

He did actually say to me one day a few months back that he regretted buying them beacuse of the speed loss, full turning circle loss, and he can't lower it.

I suppose that's the price you pay for BIG wheels.

Ian.

Every tiny little bump will feel bigger, it's bad enough when you change from steelies to 17's but you do get used to it, My car is a bitch for getting upto high end speeds now though, can't notice that much when setting off but at m/way driving you really can

so really it would be best to buy 15's and drop it on its arse? say 60mm

re

If i can get a feature when my cars tidy i might try and blag some 18's for show use, I know people who have been given wheels by wolfrace when they had feature, and after spekaing to certain companies Alba who make chrome's apparently do 50% off if you have gauranteed feature and will give them a plug
