General 12v cigarette lighter socket broken!

Hey, I've had my 1.2 grande punto active for a year now (2006 model) and my cigarette lighter socket has all of a sudden stopped working! Does anyone know any easy ways to fix or replace? And if not then how much a garage would charge?

Hi, have you checked if the fuse has blown?

check the fuse!

and make sure that its the actual socket and not just the push button thingy

otherwise, go to a scrappys and get one out of another punto, only set you back a few quid, then pop yours out with a flatblade, unplug the connector and connect the new one.

I suspect you have blown the fuse by using a phone charger or similar device.

MAKE SURE YOU REFIT THE LID PROPERLY YOU DONT WANT ANY WATER GETTING IN

This is probably going to sound stupid but I've only been driving a year so I'm still figuring things out bit by bit. Where would I find the fuse for the cigarette lighter?
