Only sold the car due to another lucky 131 find!

Hiya. yes Neil was on the phone to me as soon as he got it home. He's well chuffed with it.
I hope at some stage to go for a 131 Sport but it'll be a while as I have a few other bits to get going first. If I get the GTV finished and away I'll be looking for a 131.
Nice pics of the cars.

OK rather than run around posting pics of my 127's restoration all over the place I have started a new page on my site dedicated to the restoration. All being well I will update the page with pics and info as I go along.
I hope to that the restoration will be of help to others planning to restore a 127.

www.maranellohouse.bravehost.com look for the "Fiat 127 Sport restoration" link on the green line.

I have also started a thread on the message forum of the site for people to comment on the restoration or drop me some tips on work you may have done on a 127. If it helps me I'm sure it will help others.

Oh and if you do visit the site please say hello in the guestbook.

Ta, Stu

Hi Stuart
Was your 127 originally silver?
I was just wondering why it`s a different colour in the engine bay?
Cheers
Adrian

I would say it has been resprayed from silver to orange looking at the doors

according to the RAC

Vehicle details
Manufacturer FIAT
Model 127 SPORT
Body type 3 DOOR HATCHBACK
Colour SILVER
Fuel type PETROL
Date manufactured 31 December 1981
Number of previous owners 2
Last owner change 29 May 1997

:chin:

Hmm checking up on my details, :(

Yes it was Silver but the last owner partially painted it orange and went to all the trouble of getting all the interior etc from an orange car. My first Fiat was an orange 127 Sport so it will be redone orange. Apart from that it will be almost original with just a couple of mobs for modern day use.
