I`m trying to find a 12" sub thats average at most types of music, I`ve got a 300 watt amp, but might need a new one, anyone know of a good one, or any where doin a decent package, without the box as i`ve just made one to fit my boot,
Cheers Pete.

The Infinity Kappa Perfect 12inch Subs are very good for the money at around 170. If i were you i'd go for a JL 12W3 at 180 as it responds very well to 300W rms and will take 500W rms if you want it to. I cant think of a sub with more linear cone travel for less than 200. Problem is they dont look all that 'blingin'.

I am assuming you have a fairly modest budget of course.

Also I forgot to say if you want all round good sound with any music then you need to make sure the sub is in a sealed box.

i have a pioneer w304c which i managed to get for £40, i tried it in a large ported box and it just didnt work, now have it in a smaller sealed box and it's very impressive in my opinion. I have it running off a kenwood kac-7201 800w amp with the l.p.f. at quite a low frequency, keep meaning to try it with that opened up a bit!

Very modest budget,
i`ve just finshed sealing my box, i`m now gonna find some UV lights to put in it, and make the end piece from some perspex or polyglass,
also tempted to buy a new amp too, But 150 quid is about the most i could spare,
Cheers for you help,

thats Ok dude i would go for a 12in Kicker Comp VR then...think they cost 100 - 110 which leaves you some change. It should cope with your amp power Ok.

mmm, tempted by a 15 inch now, but i like my fast beats so i`ll stick with a 12, cheers for all the help i`ll start shoppin soon.
