Technical 100hp Plug behind the rear bumper??

I took my rear bumper off today after ripping the 'diffuser' off last night, at there was a plug, not connected, just coiled up behind the bumper.

Anyone know what this is for??

Spot on, is indeed for the factory fitted parking sensors.

So can this plug be utilised for non factory sensors?
I assume there is a connection somewhere under the dash for the "bleeper" or LCD display?

Nope as factory fitted ones are CANbus controlled.
