10'' or 12'' subwoofer??

Hello to all, i have a Fiat Stilo and i want to upgrade my oem speakers to something a little better and add one subwoofer. My question is: it's better to have 1 -10'' subwoofer or 1 -12'' ?? (if we assume that they are almost same rms wattage). I mostly hear: rock, blues, jazz, and sometimes some house music and i just want sound quality and clarity, no loud music. I think there's probably more to compare than just the size but i'd imagine you're not gonna notice much of a difference between the two.
I'd probably go 10 inch for the smaller size and sacrificing less space.
Either will probably make a huge difference, especially if installed correctly/well.
