especially up hill & from a dead start - i've only had the van just over a month - it's running fine but has nothing there when i put my foot down, even when i have nothing in the back. is this a problem across the board with the 1.9d scudo. if i'm going up hill i struggle to get above 50 & even to get 50 takes an age i feel it's dangerous going onto moterways & off round abouts - any suggestions what this could be or is this what they are like

Many Thanks

Jon

would be worth getting it on a computer to read the codes if any. Sounds like the air-flow meter could be the problem if you can get access to another van to swap them and try it would be good, it only takes 5 minutes to swap. There are a multitude of other things that can cause this problem so a code reader is the best bet.

Are all the gauges working?

Check the TPS (throttle position sensor) as losing a connection to this can affect the power output.

Thanks for the replies guys - i will try & get it to the garage & get it hooked up to a computer - apart from this all running fine - starting fine - not cutting out at all, a few weeks ago the speedo died on me for a couple of days if that is in anyway linked all seems ok now though

Thanks again

problem now sorted - garage noticed throttle pedal was a bit loose - turns out where the throttle cable is attached to the pedal - the pedal had a crack in it - so putting my foot down the cable wasn't pulling gas it should have.

they did a little weld on it & all now sorted

Thanks for the advice
