Technical 1.9 Turbo problems

Does anyone know if turbos for the 1.9td are still available?

Having looked through ePer they are the same as the ones used in the Tempra 1.9 and it gives 3 part nos. I guess for different turbos. 2 are KKK? and one is Garret. Does anyone know the Garret model number?

If they aren't available does anyone know if the turbos are easy to dismantle and replace the bearings?

If not, i guess a new turbo would be needed.

How about compatibility with the Bravo/Brava TD?

I did look on ePer at the Marea ones. different part nos but it might be possible to fit with a bit of tinkering.

was there a 1.7td? although if there was i can imagine the turbo would be smaller and lower boost

Tink Bravo/a/Marea had a renault engine till 1998, then went to JTD.

Its down the back and nasty to get to.

There are some listed on ebay, an expensive one fom Germany but a company in Christchurch? UK was advertising a cheaper one a while ago amybe wotrth seeing if you can find them.

Looks a b!tch to get to, inlet plenum off, all intercooler pipes off, and it looks to me that the PAS pump is bolted to the side of it to! one for the weekend when its dry i hope
