Technical 1.9 JTD Problems need some help

My Stilo has started to smoke and no power!!!

I got a blanking plate and blanked off the Egr but did not make any differance,also checked all the hoses and could not find any leaks.

Car would not rev over 3000 rpm i unplugged the Maf and the car now revs but still smoking Mpg through the floor and using oil

Would a faulty Maf alone cause these issues or is there anything else i need to look at?

I know this has been covered in other posts before but i need to know where to start

Yes down on power but now maf unplugged it will rev over 3K

So when you unplug the MAF the power returns?

If it does you have a faulty MAF sensor and it needs replacing.
