I think for about £2500 it adds around 50 bhp. That makes it marginally better than an HGT.
Have you considered selling your 1.8, and putting the extra £2500 into getting a HGT? - you will end up with a car that is more reliable, easier to insure, and with a higher resale value.
My personal opinion is that if you are going to do engine work, you may as well do it on the top of the range engine, so a better solution (seeing as your HLX already has a top trim level) would probably be to discard the engine altogether, and fit a coupe turbo engine. Allan Wall may correct me, but you can probably get that done for a similiar price??? You are then talking 200+ bhp.
