Hi,

My 1.8 Bravo (P reg) has been misfiring....not sure if it's worth mending or not??

Running on 3 cylinders
Good compression in all 4, all 4 are sparking
Cylinder 1 is misfiring, the plug is damp.
New plugs fitted - no improvement
Coil packs switched round (1 & 3) to see if the coil pack was at fault - it wasn't (#1 still misfiring).

Looks like the injector's at fault. I've been quoted £200 for a new one. BUt if one's gone, are the others on the way?

The car has done ~150K miles.

Anyone know if there are cheaper alternatives? Or if I should just scrap this one and buy another? Would quite like an HGT...

Any advice welcome,

Walders

it depends what injetor it is, it has to be the same injector as all the rest that are int here otherwise ull create a flat spot.

for a car of that milleage id jsut get a new car to be honest

personally before u decide to scrap..i would go to scrapyard and pull a couple from a wreck and try them 1st..no harm in trying and it may work?

probably get away with putting them in your pocket too...free lol

Thanks guys. The mechanic now thinks it's coil pack, not injector. I got one from a scrap yard for £10. Will fit this week, but it may do the trick! There's life in the old dog yet, I hope!
