1.6 sohc build

hi in the middle of building a sohc1.6 tipo dgt block i have bored it out to fit old style 128 racing pistons but didnt realise until i fitted them that they were protruding ive got them topped by machine shop and left them proud about .4mm not exact measurement but you get what i mean the headgasket is 1.6mm the flycut for valves are very small now has anyone ever tryed this before oh also looking for a race cam
