Technical 1.6 idling up and down

I have recently bought a 2002 1.6 16v stilo and after a few days it started idling wierd, it will sit idling nice then all of a sudden the revs will drop to near stalling then go back to normal then keep repeating
It had to have a new coil the second day of ownership too lol as it gained a misfire

Any thoughts as what is causing it??

Finally got round to doing this today and what a difference idles perfectly now
