I suspect that I have a blown headgasket in my 2005 Multipla 1.6 from 2005.
When driving it yesterday it overheated and a lot of bubbles was seen in the expansion tank. A lot of pressure in the expansion tank, but after the pressure dropped it cooled down and I was able to get home at low revs.
After some tests I now see that it is using a lot of water and bubbels in the expansion tank when trottle is pressed. The exhaust also has a hint of white smoke, but not much.
For me it seems like the headgasket ? Bubbels in the expansion tank is much likely exhaust, right ? If it had been a leak somewhere in the cooling system, the bubbles wouldnt be there ?
Planning to do the job myself as I have completed headgasket change on a Punto previously. The 1.6 looks a bit more complex but I still would like to try it. Any others with experience of the same job on a 1.6 ?
