Where is the vacuum sensor on a 1.6 DGT. (Tipo)

I am asking for a young guy who has not joined the forum yet.
I am not sure why he wants to know, but I have pointed him to the forum and hope he will join.

Anyway he will be able to see the answers here and it may encourage him to join.

I have asked this on the Tipo forum but figured as JJHepburn and probably others have done this engine swop on an Uno someone on here will know.

A little more detail would help here! What vacuum sensor are we talking about? Carburettor or injection engine? I'm not familiar with the SPi set up, but I do know that the only vacuum 'sensors' on the carburettor engines are the vacuum diaphragm on the distributor, which takes its vacuum from the base of the carburettor, and the 'econometer' gauge on the 45S and 60S models which take a vacuum from a t-piece in line to brake servo and feeds it to the vacuum sensor/ econometer unit mounted on the nearside wing.

Other than that I can only assume that maybe the injection engines use additional vacuum take offs for ecu's and stuff?

Thank you Chas Uno and Alex -

I am kind of running blind here, asking for the son of a guy I have met through SAABS!.

He lives north of Wellington and so it is a bit hard for me to take a look.
alex will know what I mean.

And thanks for changing the heading. I couldn't work out a good heading for it.

Also the DGT has an economy meter, this uses a vacuum pick up & valve on the batery tray.

My Tempra does too, its `sender` (I think) is a blue & brass to thing that looks like an electrical sender on the back of the thermostat housing, but instead of wires coming out of it, theres 2 short pipes that connect to the vacuum hoses.

The only other ones are on the plenum chamber which your friend wont have, so tell him to look at the base of the carb or inlet manifold (there may be a pressure switch on the bottom of the manifold).
