Hi all, I've done a search but couldn't find anything that relevant so:
My son recently bought a 2008 Grande Punot 1.4 8v active sport and is learning to drive it at the moment (passed his test 3 years ago but hasn't driven since!), anyway, last night he stalled it a couple of times at a junction and rushed the second restart. The car seemed to go into limp mode. It wouldn't rev above a certain level and the EML was showing yellow/amber. We stopped and turned off the ignition, waited for a second or two and then restarted. Everything was then fine. We drove around for a couple of hours and did a few more stalls and restarts with no issues. I've driven the car to work this morning also with no issues.
Should I be concerned or can this happen sometimes for random reasons?
Any advice on the subject would be appreciated
P.S. The car has just had timing belt, water pump, new coolant, new oil and filter. It has around 34000 miles which appears to be genuine.
