Hello, I'm about to purchase a 1.4 Grande Punto Active Sport, it is a 2006 model (06 plate) and I'm wondering how the AUX works? On most Ebay listings of the AUX input, it says '2007' onwards, so I'm guessing I won't be able to use them? What other cheap alternatives do I have under £40?

I've also read on this forum that someone has a series 1 GP which I'm guessing is pre-2007, but they have the 'MP3' logo on their stereo which DID come with an AUX input on the back, will I need a similar stereo? Or is the typical AUX input on the back of the 2007 onwards models the only way, making it impossible for me to use that method?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

(This is the Ebay item I wanted to purchase but it's 2007 onwards only - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-5mm-Jac...3?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item27e949a41d)

My 56 grande (1.4 active sport) has the aux button on the dash but no connection, I believe for about £7 I can buy a cable online which I can then plug into the back,

The aux button works and when pressed brings up aux on the radio display

Not sure what stereo the Active Sport comes with, but try pressing the CD button a few times and see if AUX comes up. If so, you'll be able to get aux with just a cheap £6 cable like .

Oh, okay, when I go to pick it up I'll try hitting the CD button twice, it's an 06 plate so I don't think it has an AUX button Andy. Not too sure though, I'll keep you guys updated.
