do all bravo 1.4 drink pertol? and is there anyway to make it betta on fuel? would a re-map help. cos im lookin for a bravo and wonted a 1.2 but there is so much chose if i went for a 1.4, i could be that picky i could chose any colour.

i'd go for the 1.2 given the choice. They are better spec'd, newer, more reliable, and get slightly more power with lower fuel consumption.

Lowering the fuel consumption on a 1,4 means basically ensuring its completely serviced, and that the camshaft isn't worn due to the usual blocked oil spray bar. since a 1.4 will be at least 10 years old now, you can be sure that at least one of the owners, probably in the last few years, has had a 'relaxed' attitude to servicing it. not good :(

I know you can pick up a 1.4S for £500 but a few hundred quid more will pick up a 1.2SX instead
