hi guys I have money to spend and I want to make my 1.4 16v grande punto starjet faster and a lot more bhp help me out

Berry.

I don't want to rain on your parade, just try and save you a few quid.
Unless your'e planning on spending thousands, don't bother.
A free flow exhaust, and remap is going to set you back around £500.
The gains you'll achieve will hardly be noticeable.
You'd be much better off in my opinion spending your money on tasteful cosmetic changes, or saving it towards a faster car.

What he said if its NA £5-600 will only see 10bhp

As above man, we all get excited with theories of gaining bhp. So did I, spent over £500 on my 1.4 8v and probably gained <4bhp. True, the above suggestions will gain hp, but the gains will most likely be disappointing.

If anyone tries to sell you something that claims to increase bhp on this car, don't take them too seriously. Chances are they just want your money pal.

Then strip it to the bone

Yep. Rear and passenger seats out, door cards, speakers, dash, airbags, any bits of random plastic, spare tyre, foam in the driver's seat, mats, air fresheners, EVERYTHING.

Should increase your power to weight ratio a decent amount.

that combined with your mods should see something to rival a Veyron at least.

Nope defo 6-10bhp, gives the car better midrange on second gear too. I had the gsr filter and made a big difference.

Also, manthatkidisscrewed(Ed) got his gsr kit and did a rolling road. He got 8bhp extra in the end, 106 bhp in total(98bhp standard). His car is in members motors.......check it out ;)

I think it could be quite fun to tweak a non Tjet. Cams, port polishing & nice old school tuning

That would be ace. Just to see what you could get it to!! I was tempted, but sacked the idea off when I knew how much I'd already spent... infact it still tempts me today now the punto is becoming available cheap enough to a lot of new drivers. See them ****ing everywhere now

Probably not a lot! Although you could go down the ITB route...THAT would be interesting...
