Going to see a 65k mile Nov 2001 1.2 Bravo tomorrow after work.

It's just round the corner from Rach so ideal location!

Apart from the usual:
> Check service history
> Test drive - knocks, wobbly, etc
> Panels lined up
> Leaks underneath
> Bodywork condition and straightness
> Cambelt history
> Overall condition
> Keys (red/bluex2)
> HPI check (done already - all ok!)

Is there anything else I should be looking for on the 1.2? I know most things to check for, just curious if there's anything obviously different for the 1.2 I need to remember!

Ta!

Brava: Mar 99 1.9TD / 54,500 miles

Clutch and gearbox. Depress the clutch a couple of times when sationary with engine running and listen for grinding noise of release bearing.
Try the gearbox out on your test run and hope Andy Sx has never driven it :)

weak points can be headgasket and gearbox, but I've never had any probs with these. Other than that I think it's the usual stuff

Well no sign of AndySX having driven it I'm pleased to say :) It drove smoothly with no issues.

Rear offside shock looks like its leaking and I thinking its missing the cat as well (flexi pipe just goes to a straight pipe which goes to back section). Bodywork is in good condition so by the time I've done my usual, it should end up stunning.

It has a couple of added extras which I wouldn't normally go for but I have to say, it looks rather tasty.

Have placed an offer on it a fair bit below asking price to cover work I have to do on it. Seller will give it some thought and let me know.

I'm happy either way with the outcome.

On another positive note, Rach has suggested that if I do sell the Brava, she might be interested in it! Kind of came out of the blue, but at least my Brava wouldn't be going far and I could still look after it!

Time will tell anyhow.
