Technical 1.1 manifold om 1.2

Hi, I may get a punto 75hp 1.2 engine for my lancia y10 1.1. I will see/buy the engine this weekend. I was wondering if someone knows this so i have a better idea of what i might expect;

Are they the same or does a 1.1 exhaust manifold fit on the 1.2 and/or does the 1.1 catalyst fit the 1.2 manifold?

I have punto spi 1.2 8v with seicento spi 1.1 manifold and uno 1.1 carb in my panda,it all fits well together BUT you are talking about 1.2 MPI engine, and there, the bolt pattern for inlet manifold is different, for the exhaust manifold it is the same . the rest will fit. If you are going to swap complete engine with all mpi bits there is no problem, but if you are going to build that engine with bits you have from other cars eg y10, some mods must be done.

Thanks! the engine has both manifolds, injection and ecu, so that means i don't have to modify anything

I have the magazine(retro cars) from a couple of years ago in wich that red y10 was featured and i really liked it and still do. i even think that, unconsciously, it's why i wanted a y10 for a long while. Firts i found out a lot of cinq's have punto 75 engines and when i found the magazine again i realized he did the same.

It's from a volvo 740, shortened in width and bent a bit to match the slightly curved roof. although i like the look, it will probably be removed in the near future now the car is getting more performance oriented and don't use it anyway.
