Hello lads and ladets.i was wondering has anyone changed theyr key shell?mine is now splitting apart ad i want to order a new one.by any chance does anyone knows a decent place where to buy them?and is the tracker chip/pin located on the main michroscheme or somewhere hidden in the shell?i disassembled it to look at it but wasnt actually sure.

The immobilizer chip is on the main board.
You can get a decent shell from aliexpress.

I have one brought from these guys,
You say your key is still working, then you will need to change over some parts of that key to the new shell.
The shell is basically an entire key.. without the electronics and the blade.
You might have to slightly file down the original blade in order to make it fit into the new holder., or might have to bend some of the contacts of the new shell... but for that price... it's unbeatable.
This how my aliexpress key looks about one year in use (and it also suffered a few drops on to concrete):

I did the same with my stilo key... i now have one bladed key without remote as its a complete key with no buttons and then I have two remotes with chips and blank blades (i use the remotes to unlock the car) at some point I will code the two fobs to start the car once i have had the blades cut. Making up the new remotes from old ebay ones was as aurick described, i had to bend the metal pins to touch the battery stronger... and all is well.

It's only the complete shell/case.
That's what I purchased.

No coding necessary as i moved all the internals to the new case.
